Every year we are a part of the Space Coast Basket Brigade and all the charitable events that take place and every year they do it bigger and better for the less fortunate families of Brevard!
In 2018 the engineering firm Northrop Grumman in Melbourne and Palm Bay got involved and blew the doors off of prior year donations!
About the Brigade
The Space Coast Basket Brigade is a fun, family event where volunteers come together to package, decorate, and personally deliver Thanksgiving baskets to families in need in our community.
What started with one family surprise delivering 4-holiday baskets to unsuspecting families has now grown into one of the largest contribution projects in the Space Coast. Last year over 2000 volunteers (more than 50% of children) joined us in delivering 4783 Thanksgiving Baskets!
This year they have more families in need than ever before and are asking for you, our amazing Space Coast members to join us in ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.
Coordinate a Food Drive
A great way to give back and have some fun. You can join us in coordinating a food drive with your children, neighborhood, team, club, organization, or company.
The Basket Brigade is happy to provide you with the food drive flyer, neighborhood door hangers, and even email or social media templates to make this as easy as possible for you. You collect the food, send us your food counts, and drop the items before the Brigade and it’s a win-win for everyone.
